Yeah it still is a bit too long but I got the torque back with it. The engine sound so good tuned though..I did 0-50 from a stop sign today and it just sounded amazing. Sure, the Magnaflow muffler helped but I'm truly impressed by the way the tuner wakes up the 4.7L. Have you tried the Performance tune FrencicX?

I have yea, that's what I had initially. It was a good wakeup for the motor. It really seems like a full-throttle tune to me, gotta convince it to shift up sometimes but it doesn't do that downshift thing that the tow tune does at freeway speeds. I'm thinking I will go back to it and also try to do a custom shift schedule.

BTW, you can call me Preston if you want, you added me on facebook a few days ago after all. from sully's wheel contest thing I think. beats trying to type my gamer name all the time..

Torque is one of the main reasons I like it. The first gear maybe long, I havent ever really paid attention on its length. All I know is its much more responsive then the stock one.

Thats the same feeling I got with he 91 Tune...felt like you had to beat it all the time to really experience its potential.

hey all...just wanted to drop some love into this thread by saying i finally broke down and bought a SC and installed it yesterday and might i say...WOW!! this thing wakes up the 4.7 like a we! dream to a teen...i am amazed by just the 87 tune i cant imagine what doing a custom trans tune would do...sooner or later ill figure out how to do just that or find someone who can help, but for now i am really impressed!!! and might i say thanks to everyone on here who has commented on their experiences with the SC...it is you who convinced me to do it...and to those who dont have a SC, if you do nothing else to your truck...get a SC at the very minimum!!

Anyone running one on a 2008+? I picked one up last week and loaded the 87 tune. There is a barely noticable increase in power and it does hold the gears a bit longer. However it still takes forever to downshift when you floor it and doesn't really "snap" like it would like it too. Thinking maybe still too much torque management.

Having a LOT of problems with the downloader/update program. Doesn't display correctly. Tried two different computers and two differnt internet connections. I did get it to update the tuner but haven't been able to download the tranny software.

I tried to register on the site to get help but the registration program failed to send me a confirmation email.

Anyone else have display problems with the updater? Running XP pro on one computer and windows 7 on the other.

I was having problems with mine connecting to the updater. I ended up fixing it buy uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.

I was having the same problem. I found that if I start the software, plug it in, let it say it's connecting, and then wait..... and wait... ... .. . I waited almost 20 minutes once.. when I got back to the PC it was all loaded up.

I called them, they said it sounds like server problems and asked things about my connection and if I was wireless and what-not, I even plugged one pc directly to the modem, by-passing the router.. It still takes forever, but it does end up working.

HOWever, there's a thread on their forums about a similar issue that requires you to uninstall the program after EVERY use, plus at least 1 restart in-order to use it the next time.
