Hey guys im looking for some door spears or whatever they are called for my 2007 quad cab dakota. Anyone know where I can order them? Getting tired of all them door dings! Would prefer them black but I can always pant them. Getting good with a rattle can! haha thanks in advance

 

your truck doesn't have any? Haha hmm I'm looking into removing mine to be honest but I don't think I would be selling them unfortunately man

 

I'll give you mine if you pay shipping.. if they survive the removal that is. I have been wanting to take them off and I would just throw them out. Some 3M automotive double sided tape would be perfect to re-attach them, that stuff is bullet proof. They are just black, not perty body color like Steve's

 

Having them won't stop idiots from hitting your truck? If you want them to keep from opening your door and getting damage, then use the door edge guards from any auto part store. Those can be cut down even. I have them on the Dragon for only about 6 inches on each door at the section that is furthest out when the door opens.

 

Hey now..they aren't all that pretty! Especially since the one time I didn't hand wash the truck and took it to the touchless laser wash it took some off the paint off of my spears..POS car washes. I wish the sun would come out this week, I need to wash my truck. Got a few new detail products at Advance that I can't wait to try (;

They actually do fairly well at deflecting car doors, perfect height for my wifes car doors and all the others I've paid attention to. But my wife doesn't hit my truck and I park too far away from places to worry about it so I don't need mine.

 

I try to park my truck on end spots or far away but parking on campus with a student body of 25000+, when I find any parking spot, I have to take it. Most of the time, it isn't an ideal spot but those spears sure have worked like they should've. Coming up on 5 years ownership and not a single ding. (knock on wood).

 

Let me know when you pull them off and if they survived, Ill pay the shipping! lol
