Default best way ive found to burn less dakota gas

well, sorry guys, not a new mod, but ive changed jobs recently giving up my company van in exchange for my sanity(they were driving me nuts, lol)
anyway pouring $ in the tank adds up so i figured it up & the commute gas funds added up to more than the payments/insurance on this little Soul..not a mopar i know, but a low price on a base model,6speed manual, 35 mpg with that kia warranty was hard to beat.plus, im not adding up all those miles on the dak.

fwiw, i tinted the rear windows myself & took off the cheesy wheel covers & clear coated the factory steel wheels. thinking i could fab a CAI as well.......maybe.

got the black theme idea from the night runner stuff,of all things.

So you still own the Dak, Thats good. My bro traded his 08 Jeep Compass in on a 2010 Elantra for the gas savings

Ive been thinking of buying a cheap used car, since I have possibly have a little one on the way, and 1. I wont let her drive my truck, and 2. Easier to put a car seat in.
But id only have a ~5min commute to work with the dak, over the 15-45 I have now so gas wouldnt matter to much. Plus I love my dak lol

yep, i have a bit of a drive now, besides the gas expense, i really didnt want to throw a lot of miles on the dak ,especially after my mods, etc.

trucks are expensive to replace & ive got the dak almost like i want it now
.
might do that body lift a little later now, since this is primarily my hunting/fishing/winter weather hot rod (lol) truck.

I've got a little commuter too. It would cost me an extra $700/year in gas to drive the dakota on my commute. That ends up being about 63 - 12 packs of Yuengling. Slicktrick has a car payment, so all your beer money is gone

thats ok, im not a drinker anyways,lol.....but my dakota sure is with this freaking ethanol blend gas.

im paying for the Soul with the $ that was going in the trucks gas tank.

even though prices have dropped a bit, its sad that between gas prices & the ethanol mix crap that its actually a little cheaper to buy a cracker box 4 banger & pay for insurance & gas for it than to just drive the dak.

i need the truck for hunting /fishing towing etc, but as many of you know they get thirsty.

& im never gonna get 35 mpg out of the dak unless its being towed.

Nothing wrong with a Kia. I love mine, great for the family, gets 30mpg, seats 7, and has 10 cup holders, and is as cush as a lincoln. Kia is also doing their part to give us jobs too with their plant in West Point, GA making the Sorento and Optima. They made 3000 jobs there, and suppliers in the area had to expand which created 7000 more jobs..

youve got a good point about the jobs etc frenicx.kia seems to have a decent product too,dad has a sorento with 80000 miles or so on it & loves it.

I was pleasantly suprised by the Soul,a little more to it than i expected to be honest.

sorta peppy for a 1.6 liter & the 6 speed stick is fun.plenty of passenger room too.

i got the base cheaper version for the lower price, but the higher end models really have some serious goodies available, lots of options if youve got the $.

basically an efficient, fun car that helps me preserve my dakota for "quality time"

whoa jkeaton..sell the dak, or the commuter car?

i had the impression you really loved the dakota, but i can understand wanting to sell as well.

fwiw, i just noticed your location.i drove down to WS to Bob King to buy the kia.

if youre in the market try the bk kia location , ask for bullfrog.

seriously, dudes name is jeremiah, they call him bull frog.
tell him scotty that he sold the soul to on may 18 sent you.

as you probably know , they do new, used etc.
they were nice to us, & i drove nearly 2 hours for the better deal.
