Default Got bored and had paint

Well, I decided that the inside of my engine bay was far too bland so I decided to spruce it up just a little bit. I figured the letters on the intake didn't stand out enough so I though the letters and the ribbing would look nice white.
I didn't take enough picture to do a step by step but it's simple enough to do.
Just remove the intake box thing from the throttle body and the air box, and pull it out. Then, I just taped over everything, and then used a utility blade to cut the tape off the letters.
I decided not to paint the word "MAGNUM" just because I figured I would paint that red later on.

Now, before anyone starts pointing out the mess ups, I already know it needs touching up but I feel pretty good about it seeing as I've never painted like this before. I personally like it, gives the bay a little color.

Let me know what y'all think.

now that is very unique, i would have never thought of doing that. i wonder what it would look like if the whole air box was white and the letters stayed black. got me thinking lol.

Kent, did you use a hose over the coils and everything? I'm too nervous to go under there with water and what not. Maybe I could just Brakleen everything? Hmmm..might paint my intake tube now since I don't have the actual airhat

I use that engine clean stuff every once in a while, but mostly a cleaner like simple green or some purple stuff. Spray it on, let it sit then hose it off. I dont high pressure anything, just a light spray then armor-all it.

I'll probably clean it after I paint the word MAGNUM red. And I'm glad y'all brought up detailing cause now I know how y'all clean ya'll's engine bay.
