Dakota is dead... certainly. I think 2012 was the last run. Rumors of a smaller unibody truck keep floating around, doubt it will be named Dakota. some think it will be a D100.

The picture on Summits website is not correct though (As well as other websites), you'll get 2 aluminum spacers, like in this picture.

It looks like Trailmaster is not making any more of the spacers, due to the Dakota being a discontinued model.

I wasn't sure which way I wanted to go when I went for a leveling kit. I wasn't here on the forum yet, but several truck friends from a round here swore by ReadyLift Brand and that's what I ended up going with. They were a bit pricey, but I haven't really had any issues. After about two years with em on I had to replace both of my Lower ball joints, but they are crap anyway, so I was actually happy to swap em for some that were much better quality.

2011 was the last year of the Dakota. Here is the last one built, 2wd, 3.7.

Default Did it

Went with the Ranchos and the inch and a half spacer from Trailmaster. The aluminum spacers look to be only about an inch thick, but that should be fine. I put the rear shocks on yesterday and like what I feel already. The struts are being done at a local shop as we speak (including an alignment). I only plan to go with the 265/75/R16 tires so that is only an inch larger than my current OEM setup (265/70/R16).. If I have to trim slightly, no problem. I am really looking for the more stable ride out of the mods...
