So I got really depressed and bored this weekend so I decided to do little work on the Dak. Went from the first picture to the second one. The new shinny parts are just to keep carbon monoxide from flowing back into the cab vents. If they hold up I'll plasti dip it all black and if not I'll just remove, return, and hope I survive until warmer weather hits and windows can come down. The sound difference is only at idle and really low rpm.

resonator delete? do you have an aftermarket muffler/did you delete the front resonator yet?

 

Ya resonator delete. Still have everything stock before the rear axle. Might get either the other resonator removed or an after market muffler but don't want to spend the money since a true dual is on the list eventually.

 

Plasti Dip will melt right off, use BBQ grill paint instead.

 

I was thinking of doing the rear resonator delete too. I can't take it clanging against the leaf spring anymore !! Does anyone make a pipe kit for this?

 

Not that I am aware of. You can piece something together.

 

Not all the Daks have 2 reso and a 1 muffler, some only have 1 reso and 1 muffler...

 

I may run the pipe out the back, with a baloney cut stainless 2.5" tip.
