I'm in Houston. Sadly, I think my parents are not going to loan me money this year....looks like the swap might have to wait until next summer. In a way it's kind of good. By that time I'll have 3.92s and a lsd, coolers, and hopefully a high cfm e-fan. All things aside, I'll do what I can now to prepare. Thanks for the information though, hope all goes well. I'll be checking in as I do future upgrades.

Oh it is, a lot of fun. I'm bummed I didn't get a chance to race it here in Missouri at 1000ft... and with these new 4.10 gears.

I'd have a bit of an advantage over the turbo cars and the truck would be faster all around just due to altitude. Going back to the rockies, I'm hoping to have it all fixed up and ready before the season is over. Maybe have drag radials on some separate wheels by then.

05dak21, that's a bummer.. but the longer you stew on it the more you'll be ready for it. I had the engine in my garage for over a year before I could work on the truck and it was agonizing, but I was more prepared when I actually got to it. You will like the other upgrades too, in the meantime.
