Flip keys
I'm a fan of the flip keys, and since I have 4 keys programmed for my truck (2 OEM and 2 aftermarket), I went ahead and ordered two flip keys. The flip keys are only the shell, and you place your key guts into the flip key shell. Since the guts are already programmed, no additional programming was necessary, and it was only $4 to cut each key. I ordered one flip key shell for my OEM key, and another flip key shell for my aftermarket key. The key guts fit in without any modifications, and both are working perfectly.
The top pair of keys are the OEM keys, and the bottom pair of keys are the aftermarket keys. Notice the different shapes and sizes of the lock, unlock, and panic buttons. The trunk button on the OEM flip key does nothing, since that key was never programmed for my truck FOB for any purpose.

Thinking that I might get a couple of these on PRIME DAYS. I'm assuming that I can use the trunk button for the remote start (although my bride will get confused by the button picture). All it has to do is line up with the microswitch on the board.
I keep pressing the trunk key, hoping my tailgate opens or the damn truck starts, but no luck.
LOL (okay adding more text to reach the 5 character minimum)

The battery has a ton of room to just slide around underneath and i dont think even powers it. Also the buttons dont line up like the old ones did, so putting that chip in there makes the button's not sit right in the frame
This was the OEM style he linked, there are little pieces of plastic that come out from the body like support lines that are holding the tech too high for the battery to engage with the tech. I feel like even if I removed them and pushed the tech down in there more, the battery would still slide and the buttons wouldnt reach.
