Hi Guys;

Been on this forum for some time. I originally wanted a Dodge Ram, but then I found this 2006 Dodge Dakota for 23000 CAD, and so I bought it. I love this truck, and love these forums. Tonnes of great information on here. So, just wanted to hit everyone up and say hi!!!

Pic of my truck attached.

I do intend to do some mods to the vehicle. I live in Whitby, Ontario and need to find a good shop that will not rip me over and actually care for my truck and my best intrests. I am not very mechanically inclined like most people on here. I am still trying to figure out what mods I can do for performance increases etc. One of the hardest thing to determine is the order I should do said mods.

Can anyone suggest a good intake for the dakotas and which exhaust. I have heard a few people on here discussing Flowmaster 40 and 50. Not sure what the difference is. Where would I get the intake? What is the price range for these two mods? (Canadian dollars if you know them)

You all rock, I get so much information from this.

He wanted Candain Dollars not american eric...and what is FIPK?...

I know alot of people on this forum run K&N intakes...thats what I plan to get...if you shop around on ebay, and some other online sites you can get a pretty good price...I think autoanything.com has a decent price and I believe anything over $50 (american)on that site is free shipping. Some people on here like DakotaStone run Airaid Intakes. As for exhaust you'd have to ask someone else

If you're gonna do an exhaust, research it out. I'm doing that right now, hoping to get one installed this summer (when I have the $$).

Depending on what you want (more power or better sound) you'll want to set up your new exhaust differently. A local shop is definitely what you'll want to do too...you'll save money that way over the whole exhaust system from the manufacturer.

Thanks Guys. I think I found a shop near me. It has several shops throughtout Ontario. I think I will do the exhaust first. Now, I just have to find one that will add some performance gains, yet still give out a nice growl. You know, the growl that won't wake everyone up, but when your driving past someone, it gets their attention.
