Custom Sway bars...
Summit Racing does not list aftermartket sway bars for 3G Daks.
A stiffer sway bar would make a tremendous difference in the ride of these 3G trucks. They're way too soft for off- roading and towing.
In another thread, I've harped about the **** poor quality of the OEM shocks as well and the fact that no one is currently making an aftermarket shock. (In development, we're told).
My truck bounces and rocks way too much and I hope you aftermarket manufacturers get on the stick and produce this stuff. I'm gettin' sea-sick ridin' in my '05 Dakota that has 21,000 miles.

are these things really called sway bars? Aren't swaybars on the bottom going from A-arm to A-arm. I think (unfortunately) that springs and shocks are the best way to stiffen any ride. As mentioned befor the level kit does help for some reason. My truck is much stiffer up front. it is a bit bouncy still.
Sway Bars (technically Anti-Sway bars) will limit the truck from leaning as much while cornering. They really help with on-road handling but detract from slow-speed off-road handling because they can hold a tire off the ground when it should droop into ruts or when going over rocks. That's why off-roaders use quick disconnect end links on their sway bars.
There used to be a company called Addco or something similar that made custon sway bars.

One of my friends won't ride with me anymore, says it gives him motion sickness.
I feel like that when I hit bumps in the road, or take a corner with mine, it doesn't feel as tight as I want it to. Even though I have AWD, it handles pretty good, but if I want to do some competition stuff with my truck, I want to take whatever turn, slalom, etc., with without feeling like my truck is going to slide all over the road, or roll over on me.
I know that lowering it a couple of inches would help on handling, but right now, making me a couple of sway bars would be a good inexpensive start.

Stone, I'm a little confused which bars you want to make. Are you looking to make the sway bars that go on the suspension underneath or strut bars to go on top in the engine compartment? Sway bars would be harder to make but would probably have a much greater effect.
