IAT relocate...again
i got a half inch drill bit because a dakota forum said the new whole needs put at 1/2 inch or 7/16...so does that mean i need a half inch plug. that would make sense to me. or do you not remember
back up for a second. tell me what you are doing now. are you gonna plug the old hole or drill a new hole? if you are gonna plug the old hole it is a 1/2 inch plug. i just went outside and measured it

go under the IAT relocate section and it says plug with 1/4 inch but drill 1/2 inch. made no sense to me.
logic says...drill new hole at 1/2" and plug old hole at 1/2". so i dunno whats up with that but its the same on all forums ive searched.

drill the same exact hole that was there for the factory sensor. and use the rubber groument that came with it to install. that why i just put it in the filter. i slip off the filter and placed the whole sensor in the cone. slipped it back into position and left it.
the 1/4 inch plug is if you are using the factory intake system. seeing how we have the k/n system this thread does not apply. your system came with the rubber groument correct. by drilling the 1/2 inch hole you will need to insert the rubber groument into the hole then insert the iat sensor into the groument.
...things make sense again. i dont have that gromit tho. if i go to home depot do i say.. "i need a half inch rubber gromit" or what..cuz i cant find things worth a crap
