road trip this weekend pulling my skeeter2050 walleye boat 5000lbs for 800 miles round trip. well first tank NJ gas 89octane16.5mpg @ 75 mph second tank nygas 89o 8.8mpg @ 75mphthird tank93 octane 10.8 mph at 70mph fourth tank 89 octane 14.5 @75 mph thought I would do better but oh well it sounds great towing a load and makin the motor work. how did everyone make out this weekend?
are you sure you calculatd that correctly 9 mpg seems really low even towing. the srt 10 gets that. i cant get below 17 on the back raods in 4 wheel drive.beating the snot out of it.
I had the trailer hooked up (pic in my gallery) yesterday and today for a hundred miles or so. Got about 12.5 mpg driving around town, and on some hills at highway speeds.
I usually get about 14.5 around town (w/out the trailer) and 19 or so purely on the highway.
I also get 14.5 aroud town no load. I used to get over 16 before the level kit and 20's.
I check almost every tank and calculate it, don't trust the overhead.
