Howdy all,

Have a couple quick questions... wondering if anyone here recognises the following items:

First is this the 'auxilliary transmission cooler' listed in my buildsheet?
If so I worry that it's pretty wimpy. Would it be worth replacing it w/ a proper finned radiator type?


And is this the outside air temp sensor I have heard ppl talk about? Been wanting to either get one of the smart consoles in which case I assume the wires from this bugger can be found int eh drivers side a-pillar. Otherwise its one of those ebay mirrors which may or may not work with this sensor which means I have to run another sensor (prob along same path I imagine).

That could be the aux cooler but I find that hard to believe. My last truck had what looked like a mini radiator for the transmission cooler from the factory, that doesn't look like it would do much.

 

Follow the lines and see if that's where they go. I thought the same thing, but never looked into it.

 

That looks like the air sensor but I thought the air was located by the Throttle body... Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

 

that is the sensor for the onboard computer. if you have the overhead console. as for the cooler that is not. you should have a little mini radiator for that. some how that looks like lines for the a/c unit.

 

that looks like a power steering cooler like on my bird. and yes that is the sensor for the overhead console

 

I know that in the second pic that is the air temp sensor. The first pic The tube that runs around the front of the a/c radiator could be for the power steering. If you have the trx or txr whatever its called offroad suspension or even I think the towing package you have an auxilary cooler for the power steering.

 

Yup thats the Power steering cooler. The Trans cooler is at the bottom of the radiator built in. Im gonna put on an after market on eventually
