Default Modifiying a body lift kit

Just a thought Sinceit seems no company is interested in making a lift kit for our trucks and to me the 3 inch body lift is too high would it be possible to take the 3 inch body lift and cut it down to say a 1 or 1.5 inch lift? I think with a 1 inch body lift, the 2 inch level kit and 1 inch block for the rear and throw on 33's that would be a good combination. Any thoughts?

I've heard of people lifting their trucks using hockey pucks. 1 layer of pucks = 1" of lift. Don't know if I'd be daring enough to try that on my truck though...

I have done the hockey puck idea for a body lift in the past and yes it is a big fine if you get cought. Also hockey pucks are rubber and with the weight of your truck body and when everything is all bolted together tightley the pucks tend to squish.

i have a 2" level kit and 3" body lift on my 05 quad cab and 33x12.5x17 on 9" wide rims and the front tires rubbed bad and i had to trim a lot of the inner fender liner and they still rub when turning all the way to either side on certian terrian. so i dont think you would be able to run 33's

the more and more I read about mods with body lift, and a few inches out of the suspension and all, the more I like the original, reliable dakota ride height lol. Maybe Im getting soft lol.

Klxstiffler if you get wheels with a shallow backspacing you might be able to run the 33's with no rub.
