Body lift and tow hooks

Body lift and tow hooks
I was drinking with a buddy, dreaming of the day when I can put the body lift on the Raider and noticed that there isnt that much room where the tow hooks come out of the front bumber. If I lift the body wont that affect that? Does the Dakota bumper have the tow hooks sticking out like that? If so what has everyone done that has the body lift. Thanks in advance.

I don't see there being a problem with either the fog lights or the factory tow hooks. The bodylift kit should come with new bumper relocation brakets to move your whole front bumper up with the rest of your truck body. Now I'm not 100% sure on this cause I'm going off past experience with bodylifts from previous trucks I've owned, but that's how it worked.

That is what you would think. If you look, here is my front bumper and tow hooks. If the body is raised 3 inches then the tow hooks may come in contact with the bottom of the bumper since the hooks are on the frame. As far as the fogs they will work I just looked, maybe I was just too drunk .

RE: Body lift and tow hooks
You have to cut off the bottoms of the tow hook opening in the bumper. The tow hooks sit in there original spot, so they will be 3" lower, a bit lower then the bottom of the bumper. Its not hidious though. If you look through the threads I posted one called "look at this TM and body lifted dakota" or somting along that lines and it shows a body lift kit with tow hooks. Later.
