4.7 owners what's your MPG.
I average 14.5 on premium. That on the overhead display, but hand calculating is the same. Mixed driving. I've really been enjoying my 250 Kawasaki as it gets 70mpg! But is sure is nice when I need tto drive he truck that it's alot of fun to her drive too--Loud and quick!
I run 87 octane and am thinking about trying 91 octane if the price goes down to $3 bucks a gallon just to see if my mpg improves. I can't complain too much since this truck gets better mileage than the 2000 silverado Z71 with 4.8L V8 and 5 speed manual that I traded for the dakota.

YUp, I am positive the window sticker said 26. Because I commented that is better on gas than our Car. (24MPG)

Anyways so really that 26 is 21.658 US Gallons.
Also to get that number this is how the government gets (I think the US does it the same way)
"The highway test simulates a 16-km trip with an average speed of
77 km/h and a top speed of 97 km/h. The test runs for 13 minutes
and does not include any stops. However, the speed varies to simulate
different kinds of rural and highway roads. The test begins from a hot
engine start."But there are so many other factors such as tire pressure, the direction of the wind (it really does affect it), temp outside and so on and so on. Since I bought the truck my total average economy since day one to todayis 16.6 L/100k or 14MPG but I have managed to get the fuel economy that the sticker claims twice (only twice)

Well folks...
Call me retarded, or weird... but I went for a little cruise after installing my fan, and guess what...
I filled up before my trip, and after my little 10 mile trip... into the wind, uphill, seriously both ways, cuz I took a cut-across and drove home on a different road, got 19.7mpg. hand calced... then I filled it up again, and drove through town to my house, and I averaged 18.3mpg.. this is based off my overhead, which I always check that and my hand calc's.... and the overhead is 95% of the time... lower than the hand calc's...
So ya... I'm happy now.

Well, I have 2006 Dakota, SLT, V8 Quad Cab, the trip computer says I am averaging between 18 and 23 MPG. The website Torontogasprices.com says the same under my fuel log book. I get about 12-14 litres per 100kms. I will attach two months worth of gas fill up data. I think my brothers to the south call this website gasbuddy.com
