I dont know if i like that LOW LOW price. I tend to either go middle of the road or top of the line, and $25 seems a bit too low. From experience going too low can lead to problems. Hmmmmm, one thing that might be a good idea is to just buy the K&N filter after buying the intake, because the filter might not be the best. Definitely if you bought this, and then bought the filter it'd still be like $150 at MOST. The heatshield is definitely able to be fabricated. The wy I would do it is buy some sheet metal (not THIN stuff, but lil bit thicker); and then cut it and bend it. Then I could design the brackets to fit like the brackets do from the K&N shield. All total cost is EXPECTED to probably be like $40 for all the parts. Do you have a drill press or the ability to cut sheet metal?

yeah I'll get measurements...another thing you will want to do is prime and paint the metal a white maybe. Paint it white on the side facing the engine, and black on the side facing the filter. It will soak up heat from inside the filter compartment, and oppose heat from the engine. I'll go ahead and take measurements tonight when i get a chance...

Ya, Dodges are Speed Density EFI not Mass Air Flow like GM products
are you sure? and why? my firehawk is speed density and it is gm
Nightrunner, the Firehawk is Tuned by SLP, so they may have pulled the MAF and converted to Speed Density. Also depends on what engine you have in the Hawk, TBI? They are usually Speed density, but and TPI/MPI GM I have seen/worked on has been MAF.
BTW, sweet on the Hawk, I am a full blooded Firebird man myself. Presently, my baby is a 77 Ta w/455 fairly modded. Low 12's in street trim, with 3.08 gears
