MAF sensor?

Default MAF sensor?

When you install a intake on the 05,06, or 07 daks is there a MAF sensor that needs to be installed? or anything else? maybe a resistor or ??? i donno??

just your iat sensor. if you look at frenchy post a day off and paint, you will see the iat sensor and the hole that it goes in. he relocated his iat sensor like most of us did.

what does relocating it do? just capture the cooler air temp before it gets hotter?

are you sure? and why? my firehawk is speed density and it is gm

would this intake work on my dak i can't really afford to throw down 250 for a k&n and i can fabricate a heat shield...

It's a must to have the heatshield, or your engine is going to suck in hot air from the engine bay. I'd say even if you get a cheaper intake, see if you can get one that has a heatshield. If not I'll take down measurements of my heatshield see if we can come up with a way to fabricate one for ya

Thanks Jimbo i would really apreciate it if you could do that. What i'm worried about is if the intake is set up to where the sensors fit the intake.. can you take pictures of yours? your Dak looks awesome.! I'm thinking i can fabricate a heat shield with sheet metal. and then try to insulate it. or possibly use a heat shield from aGen II dak? if i could get your measurements i could compare the two... Whats your heat shield made out of?they appear to be plastic.? What other mods do you have on your Dak? i like the lights over the cab. and the front bumper, we call them cow catchers... lol thats cool too..

Jimbo you went crazy with the blue lights i'm envious (SP?) Thats one unique Dak! those lights are way cool.. I just can't justify to my off duty boss (my wife) lol tearing apart the new truck to put lil blue lights all over it. I Really like it tho..
