Thanks Eric. I want to use it, if I thought it actually worked.

Well I still think you are wrong about the engine pinging in my case because the computer will prevent that from happening. The power wire on the other hand is tricking the computer into thinking the incoming air is colder than it would be with just the air intake kit.

the knock sensor is for the ping, if it pings it just retards the timing, add premium, no ping, no timing retarded. cold air intakes are to bring cloder air in, we are just making it think it is colder air. so, why is that so much more of a problem?

thats a question I would like to ask you since you have the power wire right and you live in a colder climate than I do here in philly. I have not had any pinging and even if I did I probably wouldn't even know it because the computer would correct it. Will the computer correct it with the power wire installed? All the mods I did so far have little or no chance of doing any damage to the computer or anything else. All I did was get more air in and more air out. The computer will compensate for this with no problems. Believe me I have a friend who knows cars and computers and based on that and other information I don't think this power wire is any good. That is my opinion and we all know opinions are like you know what. If you all want to do it thats fine with me its not something I would do.

the knock sensor will retard timing if it hears knoking or pinging. only way to stop it is run highter octain to reduce pinging or unplug it. I live in a hotter climate than you. Florida
