It is not so much the waxing as the application of cleaner/polishes. By working a smaller area, you are ensuring that you are obtaining the results you want. Meguiar's products also contain (what they call) 'dimishing abrasives' which breakdown as they are used which makes it 'safer' for most people to use. Because these abrasives breakdown, you cannot properly clean/polish a large area at a time...
