Those part numbers don't match anything on the Magnaflow site...

The XL muffler on the Magnaflow site appears to be a chambered type muffler rather than a straight through design....

This guy at least has the right part numbers.

That is not a bad price for the mufflers. I was looking at 4" round muffler that is 14" long (14415) at performacepeddler and he wants 63 bones...
I thought I would get two of these, and an x pipe and have midas or meineke fab up some pipes. I have no clue how this would sound....

Yeah, probably.

But like most other folks, I am looking for that nice deep grumble. Not the 'mosquito' sound (as my kids put it) from the ricers running around and their fart cans...

Blue Dak, I dunno where you are from but here in Cartaret County NC they do emissions. They did on my 05 Colorado, my wifes 06 Jetta, and they will on this truck. I remember it being that it depended on the county in NC, but I do know that Dare, Carteret, Craven and Cumberland require emissions if the vehicle is 96 or newer. It sux too at 30 bux a pop. I think I will get one like that and get it put on....see what it sounds like with the resonators and then maybe remove one at a time.

More info on the XL line from the Magnaflow site "MAGNAFLOW XL PERFORMANCE is our mid-level performance diesel system featuring a 100% stainless steel muffler and mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing with a single wall tip."
