I'm in Sterling Heights... Is that just painting the hood or will your other friend install and paint the scoop?
I cut the hood and drilled the holes to rivet the scoop down. It includes sanding the hood, fixing whatever dents, etc. He'll paint the hood and scoop, basecoat/clearcoat and I'll install the scoop after it's done.

Unfortunately paint is expensive. The supplies.. basecoat/clearcoat/reducer/hardener was together 170.

This scoop (6-pack) was 60 bucks from SummitRacing. They bumped it up 15 bucks from when I wanted to buy it before. [:@]

But, this scoop is really huge and it pays for itself. On top of that, the holes in the front were pre-cut.

Yeah I've been lookin at RKSport the site where you said the T/A hood came from but I can't find the actual hood for sale which is kinda disappointing because I wanted to know how the hood costs so I know how much to put aside when I get money... :-D

I want a functional hood pretty bad. That would definitely add some good looks to the truck's front end. I don't even care if it puts more air into the CAI, just to help keep my engine cooler would be benefit in itself.
