I'm the exact opposite...I always leave it in gear. Every once in awhile I forget the parking brake and leaving it in gear helps keep it in place. I'd have to re-train myself to not do that.

 

They always do that to my truck at the dealer ship when I take it in...no parking brake and they put it in like 3rd or 4th... and I usually forget and stall out when I get my truck back... its so F***in' annoying... yeah IDK I just don't feel comfortable leaving it in gear with or with out the parking brake

 

You can get a sentry key made for our vehicles, it's a small gray covered ring, and doesn't have the remote buttons like ours have... the dealership I have, just gave my sister one for her Liberty, cuz she lost her key, they just cut her a new one for free..

 

Ya wana know what really sux, the other day I got out of my truck, with key in right hand, and closed the door with said right hand. Chipped the paint on the edge, just above the base of the window....Grrrrrrr

 

Yeah, I did that too...about 3 weeks after I bought the truck. About 4-6 inches below the window, right along the edge of the door. I was pissed.
