Anyone else think our key is just too big?
So, kind of funny story, was on my way into work this morning and I accidentally shut off my truck on the highway. Reached down to scratch my leg and my hand hit the key, took me a few seconds to figure out why the gas pedal wasn't doing anything. Felt kind of stupid but I just shifted into neutral and restarted it. This got me thinking though, why did they have to put the keyless entry on the key? The size of the thing is always annoying me, they could have at least let the key part fold up so it wasn't as long.

Lol, that might look sweet. Turning it off this morning was just a stupid accident so I'm not annoyed with the key over that, just that in general it bugs me. As soon as I get a security system installed I'm going to take the plastic part with the buttons off and just use the security remote.

I can't find the key/ never seen one that your talking about ...can someone find me a pic of the SRT-10 push button key? and can we really use it with our trucks I mean don't they have the transponder thingys?

it really doesnt bother me....because when u think of it, it'd be more bulky to have the key AND a remote separate...just my opinion though...my dad however is the other way, he says he would like his mitsubishi endeavor key and remote to be separate lol

I agree but thats just because that way I could leave my key in the ignition and lock my car and unlock it with the remote on those cold mornings when I got a longdrive and I don't want to freeze my @$$ off in the car on the way to school... which is kinda why I'm really intrigued by the SRT-10 key plus it sounds sweet... just can't find it...
