'08, what will it run?
I'm keeping a close eye on the upcoming 2008 Daks with the updated 4.7.The truck is due to start production early next month and I'm anxious to read the reviews. I've seen mixed reports but it looks like the horsepower will be either 290 or 302.I had a 2000 reg. cab 4.7 and it was a blast to drive, but the current generation seems to have slowed down a great deal. How much does a new,2wd, extended cab Dak weigh? If this new Dak can runas well as my old '00did, I'll be all over it.

i have the 206 cams from krc performance with a pcm flash piggy backed with a jet stage 2 chip. imco 3 inch catback single exhaust, k/n fipk intake and just had my axle switched out from 3.55 to the 4.10. since day one when i drove it off the lot it was a screamer now it is just madness. truck throttles back at 118 mph. dodge says with diff. software the truck would run 130 mph

That's awesome, especially for a 4x4! A couple years ago, when I had my Dakota, the fastest N/A 4.7's hadn't really broken into the 13's yet, and those were 2wd Reg. cabs. I guess the camsmade a hugedifference. I see some Gen 3 Dakotas posting 1/4 mile times of 16+, but I guess that's mostly due to traction issues? What are your 60' times like?
60ft is a little over 2 seconds 1/8 mile about 9 seconds. going to new england drag way soon. have not ran the track with the 4.10 yet. the other times were with the stock 3.55.
