No mods for me, for a while.
yea i agree macs SUCK, the name is on par with all of the curse words in my house, no one dares to say it or i get really pissed and start ranting about mac sucking *****[sm=rant.gif]
Yeah the new ones aren't Horrible... but still I dislike the MAC OS as well as the hardware... the only product I like from MACis my Ipod... but when that dies... I already made my mind up that I'm likin' the Microsoft Zune better... I mean pretty much the same capabilities as the iPod...only it comes with a built in radio Tuner... :-D
yup when any of my friends ask when im going to get an ipod, i answer them with a question "when are you going to buy me one?"
i wouldnt waste my money on an ipod, id much rather have a zune, better screen, more capabilities,(most importantly the tuner) and i think it has a voice recorder too

Zune would be a no go for me, costs too much and it's too big. I used to hate ipods then I finally gave in and got a nano, when they came out they were the only player small enough to comfortably put in a pocket with your wallet that had decent capacity and a good menu/navigation setup. I will never buy an mp3 player again without testing the control setup first, if it takes you 5 minutes to find a song due to lousy controls it's just not worth it. (Note that the last sentence is not directed at the zune, haven't had a chance to play with one yet)
Eh... I used to hate the iPods too...but the only reason I hated them was because EVERYONE and their mother jumped on the bandwagon way too fast... ...yeah the zune is big...but I don't mind as long as it still fits in my front pocket and its not gonna break easy...
Good choice man. I got a Macbook core 2 duo, and I am never going back to windows again, especially vista.
Im not sure if you know this but you can dual boot macs now to run OSX and windows xp/vista. Its called bootcamp by apple, and its pretty cool if you NEED to have windows for a few apps.
I used to be a huge pc guy, building them for gaming and stuff but, I quit all that. OSX is so great. Cmon no virus's. Not that its ever been a prob though.

You can also run OS X on any intel box, see here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ
It's just a little harder because unlike Microsoft, which allows their OS to run on any x86 based hardware (if the x86 threw you off just think Intel or AMD chip) Apple coded OS X to check for a specific piece of hardware in the computer called the TPM (Trusted Platform Module). The TPM is simply there to tell it that the computer came from Apple, other than the TPM an Apple computer is nothing more than a regular PC with Apple's software on it. So they purposely crippled their OS so that they could sell hardware at ripoff prices and people would still buy it. (Don't belive me? Go grab the specs of a Mac tower from their site then price out the same parts on Newegg.com)
I'm just waiting for some of the linux variations to mature a bit more, then I might switch to linux.
