I wouldn't worry about synthetic fluids depending who you go with. Amsoil states right on their site if you have problems that are determined to be caused by their oil they will warranty all the damage.

OK...back to the topic at hand concerning the new 07 RT owner...Brosh, the CAI mod would be a start, followed by the FastMan throttle body. I have the K&N Series 63, but AirRaid make a good one too. Good luck with your new truck.

If you get the CAI you should definitely get an aftermarket exhaust... even if you engine is bringing in more air... inorder to get the best gains out of you CAI that air needs to be able to leave your engine faster..I.E. a less restrictive exhaust system...

I have an 06 R/T but here in California they are VERY rare. I have only ever seen one other on the street "3rd generation R/T that is". The 05's and 06's are the same as yours. I was told that Dodge only made 4,000 of them for 05, the same for 06, and they planned the same for 07. With as many as I have seen in the last two years it seems like accurate information. The first things I did to mine was change the exhaust to Flowmaster and had the rear resonator removed at the same time. That worked perfect, sounds great and I hated the way the resonator looked at a weird angle under there anyway. Next I had the rear lowered with after market shackles. It's only 2 " and it helps but really I look forward to when there are parts to drop it another 2" front and rear on top of that. The best thing I did was add a hard cover to the bed. The thing went right over the under rail bed liner and I was still able to install a bed extender under it. It closes with the tailgate up or down and with the bed extender in or out, It's just couldn't work any better. Check this link for a couple of pictures.

did you have yours costom made or was it sitting outside in the lot?
it took 6 weeks to come in but it was worth the wait.

Mine was just sitting on the lot with all the others but it stuck out because of the color and hood scoop. When I stopped to look at it a salesman came out and said it was an 06 "I was there in February 07" and he could give me a great deal on it because it was last years model. I got it for $21,000.00 so I couldn't pass it up. I notice they did change the rims for 2007 unless that's how all the black ones come. I like those better than my chrome ones because all the stuff on mine is Yellow and black. The wheels are the only chrome things on it.

My lid is from a company here in California named *******'s. http://www.gaylordslids.com/speedsturr.php Mine actually made it into their web page. There are some other wing lids out there but they usually don't go all the way across the end of the lid in the same way. The other ones I have seen start off normal and progress to a wing about 1/4 of the way in from the corner than feather back to normal by the other corner.

Lowering these is a pain so far because there are no parts yet if you had that in mind. I had mine dropped 2" in the rear but am now stuck untill parts come out to go further.

no actually he should be driving level now... saying as how there is a 2 inch rake on the Dakotas so stock the front is 2 inches lower than the back... with a 2 inch drop on the back that equals level...[sm=chairshot.gif]
