I bought a 07 Dakota rt about a month ago.Just wondering if anyone else has one? Also whats a good place to start for mods?

 

hi! welcome! I know of some others on here who have RTs. in my own opinion, a cool air intake (K&N or AirRaid) would be a good start on mods. An Exhaust to compliment it would be good too. Those two combined will allow your engine to run cooler and free up some power. After that switching to synthetic oils would be another good idea to reduce friction . Hope that gives you some insight!

 

You say others on here have one, but 07?

I tried looking for intakesbut no one has any for the 07's yet

Will the exhaust void my warranty?

 

first mod i would do, would be to swap out the throttle body to a fastman one. easiest mod that can be done in ubder 1/2 hour and for 180.00 well worth it.

 

swapping out the factory 195 thermostat for a 180 is another good place to start for under 10.00 bucks

 

Also reading the warranty questions sticky at the top of the page is a good first thing to do..

 

Intakes for 05-06 should fit the 07 no problem, it's the same engine, same truck

 

Go into the Mod Talk at the top. It'll give you a good idea as to what to buy and have done.

 

oh...an 07 dak rt..no, don't know of anyone else. They should have the same engine as the past RTs and dakotas. anything 05-07 will fit most likely.
