It all comes down to personal preference. I took out my factory muffler and resonator and installed a Borla muffler.

The main reason i got Borla, and Blown will agree on this with me, is the different sound, everyone has a Flowmaster 40, 50, 80, 100, whatever is the number. Personally i think that flowmaster sounds cheap! JMHO!

Everybody that has a truck has flowmaster, others have magnaflow, gibson, few got mbrp, and some other brands i can't remmember, like me, some other few got Borla because makes a distinctive sound, it does not sound like every other truck on the road. Blown got it for performance and sound i got it for the sound only.

So you see, it's a personal preference! Good Luck !!

Here is a sound clip:

Just cut out the resonators, replace with straight pipe, replace muffler with the muffler of your choice. It will sound so much better.
