180 degree thermostat question
i recently intalled the jet chip stage 2 in feb. i felt a great increase in power, tq and the gears hold and switch smoother. it says 180 degree thermostat are recommended but not necessary. what does it do with the chip?

a cooler running engine will produce a little more power. plus it helps with pinging if you run cheap gas.

you get it under hard exceleration while going up hills using cheap gas. if you have ever heard a rod knock before thats what it sounds like.

Does the ECM mind the stat change? It seems every thing that is done the ECM knows about it and you never know how it’s going to react.

i have no issues with my truck. really likes the cooler stat and responds well, with all the other mods.
