Another leveling kit??

That's trailmaster's installation instructions. If the nut that goes on the stud on the top of your struts isn't crossthreaded like mine was probably not too bad. Getting a spring compressor that you can fit in the springs to compress them enough is a royal pain though. I got the strut/spring assembly out of the truck with very little problems (be careful with those sway bar end-links though, they snap like a twig if the nut sticks and you put too much force, $60 to replace). I ended up having to put it all back together and take it to the dealer to have the strut replaced under warranty, decided to just have them install the kit at the same time.
Assuming your struts aren't cross-threaded I think the easiest way to do it is take the strut/spring out of the truck, mark it as indicated in the instructions. Then take it to a local shop that has a wall-mounted spring compressor, they will probably only charge you $20-$30 to take the struts apart and put the spacers in. Just make sure they line everything back up with the marks you made or the strut won't fit back in properly.

I have to agree with Altair about having a shop compress the springs. I bought a cheap coil spring compressor (only type they had) from Harbor Freight. I pulled the strut assembly out of the driver's side, and literally destroyed the spring compressor on the first strut. I wound up putting the front end back together, and returning the faulty tool to Harbor Freight. In fairness to Harbor Freight, the Dakota springs are very difficult to compress with a hand compressor as the coils are very thick, and there is not much room between them. I am currently looking for a local shop that can compress the springs and install the spacer for me. All that being said, has anyone found a good replacement shock for the 4 x 4 QC models?
