Ya, I'm really thinking about doing the whoel fixing it up and selling it thing...

But then again, if I put a lotta time into it, I dunno if I could let it go....

I'm gonna tell him 400 is my maximum I'm gonna give him, if he doesn't take it, I'll take my 100 dollars back...

Smart idea. Glad you thought of it. I still think that 400 is too much.

Ya, I posted on CelicaForums.com or whatever, and they told me for the condition it is in, 500 dollars is a steal....

I offered my freind 400 total for it, and holy oh man, was he ever excited when I pulled out two $100 bills and two $50s.... to make a total of $400 to him...

I figure with the extra $100 saved, and with the right knowledge from some people, I can turn this car back into a reliable vehicle...

Jamey gave me a list of things to check/replace whatever...

And workign on it in my auto class will allow me to get it running fine before getting it on the streets. :-)

Todd, it's a Toyota, it'll never die!

Hahaha..... everyone on ToyotaCelicas.com is saying the engine in this model is a VERY reliable engine, can handle 200,000+miles...

Psh, 200k+ is nothing. My GSR had 211k when I sold it, still pulled like mad right up to 8k (and it saw that many a time) and surprised a lot of wanna-be Fast and Furious ricers. (I swear some people who tried to race me must have been their first time driving a standard they were so bad, lol)

Hahahah.... I wonder if our engines would last 200K...

I mean, I knew Toyota's lasted forever but.... 200,000 miles?!

That's ridiculous!

My dad had an old Dodge truck that he got 258,000 miles out of before he sold it. He used and abused that thing, too. That was a good little truck....

It might be possible for us too. Might.

Not all that uncommon if you take care of your car. Last my grandfather heard the guy that bought his old Ram was close to 300k on it (that truck was indestructible). Integras commonly last past 300k if I remember right someone on my old integra forum was over 500k on his (that's just insane!).
