Ya, that's right...

I'm buying a 1990 Toyota Celica GT.... unfortunately, it's an ATX.... so maybe an ATX -> MTX swap....

Anyways, my friend wants 500 dollars for it.... he bought it for 100.... there's no ignition switch for it.... so you have to like, shove something in there, and turn it, to start it, it's got a bad passenger side wheel bearing, new timing belt and gaskets/seals.... timing is still off.. but whateve...

Florida owned, towed up here, paints faded...

What you think I should give him for it?

He seems dead set on 500..... I already gave him 100, as to not sell it on me... but I would liek to spend NO MORE THAN 400 tops...

Give me ideas.....

 

If he bought it for 100 what makes him think he should charge a friend 500 for it?

 

I dunno, I work for his mom, and he works for my mom... we went cliff diving last night, illegally, so we are good friends......

in regards to the cliff diving, I'm afraid of heights, and I ended up jumping once, off a like, 6 foot cliff, and almost screwed it up..

 

that little ignition thing would have wondering if it was hot

I love the body syles of the Celicas, and 2650 pounds, and 140hp... can't really go wrong, oh and 30+mpg...

He did do a few more things to it, liek I stated at the top...

I didn't tell you that he got new timing belt, and gaskets and seals and he has a decent head unit in it..

 

oh, ok. ya, then maybe 4-500 then. are they sohc? what motor comes in those?
