its the tps. it will tell the computer to give the truck gas. unlike a throttle cable to the tb. this is electronic, so it needs time to think before acting. sometimes when i pass people and mash the gas it will do it others it will break the back end loose. so it is a dodge thing.

Yeah all auto's hesitate... and most of the times its an on or off type of thing... sometimes it will sometimes it won't... thats how my cirrus was, thats how my friends buick is, my other friends Stratus R/T, my mom's Jeep, my gf's Mazda, and my rental Caliber...

At least for passing I can usually prevent the hesitation by putting it in tow/haul a few seconds before I pass (when I'm thinking about whether or not I can at that spot). That'll usually get it to downshift before I mash the gas pedal down

YEAH I've never really used the tow/haul feature! does that make the RPMS drop or rise?

....Rise....

And when I wanna pass, if I'm doing 55 or so, I'll throw it in 3rd gear, and get up to about 70 then shift into 6th. :-)
