RE: Window tint
I have 20% in the front and like 1.5% in the back...idk remem exactly for the rear... but yeah in Michigan no inspections enforcement on the tint is usually pretty leinent and you can only tint the top 4 inches of the windshield or front two windows... the res doesn't matter :-P

RE: Window tint
You guys suck, to even go darker in the back and 35% on the fronts (think that's what it is) here in Maine I'd have to get it done at a certified tint shop who would give me a certificate stating the tint is legal. They're so strict about window tint for inspection lately...

I think they're talking about an overall vehicle safety inspection. We have that in PA...they check and make sure you're legal in every...all lights work, wipers are good, brakes, tires, etc, etc. Tint is part of vehicle safety.
In fact, the laws are so strict here, that if you get pulled over with anything not meeting DOT regs, you can be forced to fix the truck on the spot..my buddy had a 2000 Dakota R/T with all sorts of lighting mods that didn't meet DOT regs and he had to pull the whole thing apart on the side of the road and fix it before the cop would let him move.
