I want to check out the 08 dakota. But like others have said I want to see the 2010 model with a diesel. My only hesitation about buying another dakota is the suspension. They need to raise it up 2 inches and hope the after market will make lift kits for it or I might look into something else.

we have one at my work, its only a 3.7 but its not bad looking Of course it still gets horrible gas mileage for a V6, I thinks its like 14-15 city and 18-19 HW.

I was going to dump my 06 for a 08, but I decided to wait until the diesel dak comes. My truck has been paid off since the day I bought it so I am going to put some aside so I can do the same in 2010, especially if it is a CTD. Last month almost got talked into a 07 2500 with the new CTD engine and 6 speed, it was an amazing truck, I had it for 2 days and was sad to give it back. The dealer was really pissed as they had my truck sold, they were (and new owner) was just waiting for me to trade it (sat on their lot while I had the 2500). One good thing i got a free detail out of it, my truck looked liked the day I bought it. I have never seen a larime dak here in Austin TX and they had a buyer looking for one. They offered 20K for mine, but the 53K on the 2500 was a bit much, I dont like to make payments and I would of had to on it :{

I've read from a couple sources that production hasbegun, I just wish one of the larger dealerships around here would at least get a display model on the floor.

Just my luck. I buy a new truck a month ago and find out the 08's have 72 more horsepower than mine. Nice....
