Default Replacement mirror

My sis was on the highway doing 70 when she hit this "bar" as she put it that was sticking out from a construction site. It hist the passenger side mirror, it just scuffed the casing but the mirror itself popped out. Now, my question is, can I just get a new mirror or do I have to buy the entire assembly? I remember a thread not too long ago about someone needing the whole mirror, but I want to know if I can just buy the glass. thanks!

Go to dealership, get a part number, go to MakeItMopar.com and order it through there...

Some twit in a 'ricer' hit the driver side mirror on my wife's accord while she was driving down the road (he lost his!!)

Anyway, the only thing that broke was the mirror, but like you, the housing was fine. We contacted the dealer and several aftermarket places but none sold just the mirror, so we ended up buying the whole thing.

If you have a glass shop nearby, they maybe able to cut a mirror down to fit, but I don't know if there is a difference between and automotive mirror and one you find in your home....

Had someone throw a beer bottle at my truck while it was parked in front of my house. The bottle wedged it's self inside the mirror housing and the driver's window. It was in there so tight I thought it might break the window if I tried to pull it out.

Ony damage was the actual mirror glass and a deep scuff mark on the window.

I went to an auto parts store, one of the chains I don't remember which, and they sell replacement mirror glass in several sizes. Not a perfect fit but closeenough .
Peel and press and it stayed on for several years, even in our freezing winters, till I traded the truck for this one.

YES you can just buy the mirror you don't have to buy the whole housing!
