I have an 06 QC with the 4.7 V8 and 6spd manual transmission.

My gas pedal creaks. I think it is the throttle cable. It only does it in gear and under load. I had it to the dealer once and their solution was to cable tie the throttle cable closer to the firewall. This worked for about 100 miles. Since then I've tried different combinations of cable ties and it still does it, drives me CRAZY.

Anyone else had this problem? Was the solution a new throttle cable?

 

Well I have a 3.7L v6 6-SPD ... and my gas pedal doesn't sqeuk... but my cltuch pedal does... IDK if its because I have the pedal covers on it or if its something else...

 

My clutch cable groans too, it just is infreqnent and not really noticeable. The gas pedal problem is definitely more noticeable.

 

clutch isent cable its hydralic, most hydralic clutch master cylinders do have a little bit of anoise to it. atleast everyone I have ever seen

 

IC... well I'll keep an eye out for my gas pedal creakin' too... off the top of my head though... I don't think it does... its hard to tell most of the time cuz my music is so loud... so you'll have to wait until the next time my gf is in the truck.... cuz I'm not allowed to listen to the music so loud when she's in the truck... lol

that the only time you turn the radio down is when ur gf is with you, i listen to my music loud too, but it gets turned down more often than yours either bc my phone rings, or traffic is bad or something

LOL well I kinda exagerated... I mean yeah if my phone rings I turn it down...but the phone and my gf are the only two things... or in a drive thru...but everyone who calls me knows I have a manual Trans so most of them don't call me often when I'm driving...

Gotta love UConnect...the phone rings, the radio shuts off automatically, hit the button on the mirror and start talking. I have a manual tranny, too...it's so easy to talk on the phone...
