Default Hard braking vibration highway speeds

I know this has been addressed before, but if anyone has experienced this problem and had it checked out at a dealership, what was the outcome/fix? I've had the same thing for quite some time and would like to know if your problem was fixed. I'm bringing my '05 in tomorrow and want to know what to expect.
(EDIT)> Should have mentioned in the above post that I had the front rotors and pads replaced(EBC Sportperformance rotors and ceramic pads)about a month ago. Have thesame severevibration nowas I had beforethe front end change.

Your rotors are probably warped. Get it fixed under warranty if you're still in it. There is TSB on it. That was what they said about mine, anyway.

Probably the rotors, and if you're over 12k or one year no dice on the warranty. Chrysler doesn't warranty the brakes for very long, from the reading I've done warped rotors are a common problem due to poor quality OEM rotors.

I got my rotors fixed at 35k... With the tires and no comp update, I actually had closer to 37k, but the comp said 35, so I got it fixed under warranty.

You must have gotten lucky, your dealer probably assumed it was covered under the 35k powertrain. Mine showed me the book from Chrysler stating the brake systems are only 12k/1yr when they told me their hands were tied so yours may have a hard time getting Dodge to reimburse them.

Taking it in is always worth a shot it seems

Well even if the rotors are covered under warrenty he's replaced his rotors with aftermarket soo from the sound of it they're probably not warped...

There is a bulletin on this problem with Chrysler and they are suppose to replace the entire rear brake system.

Check out this thread. https://dodgeforum.com/m_877500/tm.htm

My father and I, who both own 06 Daks, took our trucks to the dealer and they addressed the TSB with no problems. Of course with TSBs you have to mention it to the dealer because they will not bring it up since it is not an "official" recall. The outcome has been great. With both of our trucks, they replaced the rear brake shoes and drums. They also resurfaced the front rotors because of the issue of with the back brakes. It caused the front rotors towear unevenly. He has had hisback from the dealer for over two weeks and I, one week. There hasbeen no problem. The brakes do feel different. They are a bit "softer" whichyou may have to get used to. The weird thing that I was told was that the rear shoes on the Dak when it came out of the factory were wrong. And to prove it, the tech showed me myold brakes and mynewbrakes. They were a bit different. And he was puzzled as to whythey were like that. In his eyes, this TSB should be a recall. Anyway, it's fixed!

Agree Chrysler should make that a freaking recalls. Anyway if all dakota's owner goes to their mecanics and give them that problem, they will have no choice to replace the brake on them...[sm=goodidea.gif]
