Default a$$ end jumping out

Hey all. I just got back from a 2k road trip from RI to Chicago (and back again)with a weekend in Cleveland in between--R&R Hall of Fame....Anyways, the Dak ran really well...Averaged 18mpg, kinda what I expected. I was probably averaging 75 to 80 mph...I also noticed while driving through those radar signs (where it displays your speed) that the upsize on the tires made my speedo about 4mph too slow--that I'm going faster than the speedo.
Anyways, I had noticed this before and now it was real noticible---When driving over "bumps", seams, whatever on the highway, the *** end of the truck can jump out on you....Like it kicks out and if you're going 80mph, it can be downright scary...What's up with that? The solid axle to blame? Poor shocks? Any ideas?

It only happens when driving around a curve in the road--not on a straight away.

mine does that and my fullsize did that. only reason i can think of is because the bed is so light that there is nothing to keep the back end down.and i doesnt just hoop it tends to studder skid also. either left or right.

I don't know why but with the TRX4 I have never noticed this. Also the topper adds about 300 lbs to the rear. A friend in NJ has a 06 4X4 and he said untilhis topper was on he had side hop but it is now much better. So the 300 lbs of topper on the bed seems to make deference.

Check air pressure, it should be around 30 - 35... my summer tires have a good 48psi in them (for mileage) and in doing so, they are bouncy, dropped them to 34.... and it doesn't do it anymore...

Check that..

I've noticed some trucks do it, some don't. My 93 sierra reg cab did it even more than my dak, my 95 silverado Z71 xcab didn't do it at all.

Yeah, mine does the same thing when going around a curve, like an exit ramp. Especially the ones that are not well maintained.
