Default My First Mod

Okay,

So here is my first mod. Nothing big or serious. Just a XM Sat radio. I had Best Buy hardwire it into the vehicle for power and the attena. Yes, laugh, but here in Canada, they installed my remote start in my Dodge Intrepid, and about two months later, the whole PCM fried. Dodge blamed them, I went to them, and without question, they paid for the repairs after checking everything. However, later found out, it was Dodges problem all along. So, just the sheer fact they stood by their install.....Keeps my business.

Anyways, I love it, I use an Aux wire to my stock stereo. I hid the wire under the dash, but it moved when I took the picture.

i have no complaints about best buy either. they done a great job with my sound system also. and the xm looks kinda nice there. most people will think it is a navigation system or some type of onboard tuner.

Cost me $16.00 for the damn radio. I was really impressed by the sale, so I bought two. I am going to install one in my fathers Nitro when they get back from Mexico. I must admit, the quality of the radio is impressive. I had never heard Sat radio before. Much better than FM. Oh, and the biggest plus so far, NO DAMN COMMERICALS.

Why? Is there no aux port on the back or just so you can go back to FM easily?

The Aux input is on the front of the stereo, and I highly doubt Dodge has an Aux port in the back of their cheap cheap cheap stock stereos.

I know there is an input on the front but what kind of dumbass wouldn't have one on the back? I'm used to even cheaper radios that have no front input.

Most factory radios have no aux input, front or back...

Agree's with Altair. If not for the Ipod, no radios would have aux inputs right now. Typical of the domestic 3, they are usually the last to introduce new or more convient tech into vehicles. That is part of the reason vehicles like volks, honda etc are stealing some people. Just sheer convience of their vehicles. ***Hopefully, the big 3 have been spanked hard enough, and learned their lessons***

Viper. Looks good. I am Sirius subscriber for both of my cars and get XM free as a Directv subscriber. And I love sat radio! Enjoy it. And I too am a faithful Best Buy shopper as well (even have the rewardszone card for the discounts). Good luck with it!
