Default Stock Headlights

I’m alright with the low beams and the fog lights on for the full close and distance affect.
The high beams just suck though. No it’s not because the for lamps are off when using the highs, it’s the highs them selves that are so inadequate. I really don’t want to have to add supplemental lighting to over come the highs short comings. Anyone else feel the high beams suck? If so any suggestions?

Well IDK... I don't think the high beams are that bad, but then again, I've never really used them for more than 60 seconds at a time... if that...

i actually love our highbeams. maybe it depends on the setting your in. im in ok.when im drivin on a smaller road, with my highs on, and its "foresty" i can see FOREVER. if there is a full moon out, and im in the open, the highs are pretty darn decent. if im in town at all with stores and lights ect (when highs shouldnt be on anyway) the highs will suck ***, as it is too bright for them.

i am running silverstars in both my fogs and headlamps. they arnt a year old yet, but almost. my fogs seem as bright as the day installed, as the headlights have faded a bit (less than expected) but are still quite a bit brighter than stock.

imo, i like our lighting more than on my friends chevy trucks (both '00 and '04 body styles) and my dads f250...the lighting is better than most cars i have been in as well. idk what your problem is though. my suggestion would be HIDs...which btw, my moms 08 gt/cs we just got her came stock with[8D]

look at your headlights. is there a small cover over the high beams compared to the normal driving lights. if so just pull the headlight apart and remove that little cup. dodge did this so you would not blind people if you forgot that the high beams were on.

They absolutely are inadequate. That's why I changed them out for Silverstars. Now waiting for SS Ultras availability.

Mine are a bit weak, too, I'll admit. I want to put some SilverStars in here in the next few weeks...whenever I get around to doing that, and adding the LED turns that've been sitting on my kitchen table since July. The resistors are even already in, just have to slap the new bulbs in.

That was the one thing that was real nice about my old GMC Canyon...the stock lights were really bright. Unfortunately, when that's the best thing about the truck, something's wrong....

Switch to the silverstars. They are very good much better than stock bulbs and a lot cheaper than HID which by the way in some states it is against the law to add HID lights. They must be factory installed as original equipment. I was looking to get them until I read that and saw the cost of them.

Ive got the Silverstars in both Headlights and Fog lights.... they are bright enough i never use my highs. Altho, i guess im not one to talk when you have 4 130w offroad lights up front if i need more light

But lose the stock bulbs and goto silverstart. about 20 bucks a bulb give or take. and you will be much happier!
