Default Warranty question

So Ive got a question.. would an inspection of the truck (for warranty-ish related issues) be covered under warranty or is there a labor fee??

Ive gottwo things up with my truck, first, the mileage has dropped a LOT. I was getting 16-18 mpg average mixed driving, now Im only getting 10-12. Something definitely seems wrong with that to me so I want to have it checked out (under warranty?)

Second, the same reverse issue is still there, but it's intermittant. Sometimes it pops into reverse in only a moment, and other times it can take 2-4 seconds. Once again, warranty issue I think.

Ive also got a rattle somewhere in the dash thats driving me nuts, but I dont think thats a warranty thing.

So what do you guys think? Would an inspection for these things cost me directly, or is it a warranty coverage? Do I have to go to a dodge dealer? How do I go about this process haha

Thanks!

So it does have to be a dodge dealer? That would make sense, I was just wondering since there arent any dodge dealers very close to me.

Hm ok thanks guys! I guess Ill contact a a dodge place and see if I cant make an appointment. Thats makes me 2 vehicles down haha, bike is in the shop, truck'll be in the shop, and that leaves me with my trusty ol subaru to get around in

At least I fixed that one myself!

The only prob you might have is if you're over 36,000 miles and don't have an extended warranty. They'll probably charge ya in that case. I kinda doubt you have that much mileage on your truck, though.

You would be right, with 2 cars and a motorcycle I don't drive it a whole lot quite yet. Ive got 15k miles, and 20 months left on the warranty.

As long as we are on the topic of warranties, we can extend our warranties at the end of the factory period right? Any idea how much that generally costs?
