Default Spare tire problem

I tried to replace one of my tires with the spare the other day because it is the same wrangler tire as the others...but the goodyear shop couldnt even get it down...they said it was stuck. the wire goes down but the tire wont follow because that disk thing is stuck. i duno. any one have this problem or know a solution? (besides cutting it off)

if you have a warranty, bring it tothe dodge service department.

I don't know what the shop tried, but you try spraying some WD-40 and theneither hammering the rim (with a rubber mallet) near the center or use a crowbar to pry it down. The same thing happened to my old Caravan and it was just kinda rusted into place....

Yeah I would take it in if it's still under warranty. Or try what trucky said. Did they try very hard at the tire shop to get it off?
I bet your glad you found out before you had a flat tire some where huh
Hey you could put some WD40 on it then go off roading and see if it just fulls off [8D]

Yea it happens. just tap it with a rubber mallet and it will come lose

I hate to say this but I brought mine to a tire shop and they didnt even know that the tire iron and jack were under the back seat. If you lay down behind the truck and give the tire a good kick it will come loose.

Thanx for the tips guys, today is test day. and funny you mention that PDEMELE because they had to ask me where it was too... very professional.
Also my truck is beyond warranty.
Funny story by the way...I payed for one new tire and then they were going to put the spare on with it...but when they realized the spare was stuck they said come back, but they were going to put on the one new one anyway...so they guy at the desk charged me and I left, only to find out they didn't put on ANY new tires...so I spent 175$ on getting told my tire was stuck. Apparently the guys in the back got confused.I called back angry and now I get a free oil change. If my tire busts before I go back....that's a lawsuit on them.
