Dakota newbie needs help
I just bought a 2005 Dakota Quad cab. I have a couple of questions if someone can help me with them. Can the rear seats be removed? I know that may sound strange, but it makes sense for me. My truck has the bench seats with the cup holder/console on the floor. Can that be removed? If so how? Also mine didn't have an owners manual in it. I just bought one from ebay, but is there one online somewhere? Thanks
I'm pretty sure the seats can be removed. If you look at the stickied threads at the top of this forum one of them is titled 2005/6/7 service manual. There is a link to download the factory service manual in that thread which should have instructions on how to remove the seats and do just about anything else too.
You can download the owners maual for free from Dodge.com

if you don't need the whole service manual (although I think its a great resource) here are the two pages specific to the quad cab rear seat removal

shrpshtr325 I'm a rural carrier. I'm going to use the truck to deliver mail. I was thinking about removing the passenger rear seat to give me more room to stick stuff in it.

i think that the bench seats are split into three parts, driver passenger and middle with that little fold up armrest, and they come out in pieces like such, just unbolt, or at least the old gen worked that way, not sure on the new one
