New Camera - First Time Out - Lots O Pics
as some of you may remember, i was lookin for a nice point and shoot to have the gf get me for our 3rd anny. i ended up getting a sony cybershot t70 in black. i really wanted the convenience of being able to take it in my pocket or anywhere rather easily. i also wanted some pretty nice options, to play with iso, shutter speed ect ect. anyway, on my way back to stilly tonight, i stopped at boomer lake and tried some night shots with playing with some settings (which i have NEVER done before) nor have i ever taken night shots or tried to get technical with nice pics. the pics are raw, but lost A LOT of quality when i uploaded to photobucket. also some of the pics are blury and some are just plain crap but i posted them all. these are the only shots i got of the truck, the gf and i had some fun and used up most of the battery earlier so....anyway, it was a lot of fun, and kind of addicting. tell me what you think, again ive never played with any settings before, and im sure some of them were prob way off the whole time, but whats what practice is for. first practice session=
99% suck, but the 1% is dead nuts..i had fun

thats my fav too, i was a little shakey, i was drivin home in some pjs and decided on a whim to stop and it was cold so i had problems keeping still. ive been playing with marco in my room (lol sounds wrong, marco on my camera) and that is some amazing stuff!!!!
and the funny thing is, my truck hasnt been washed in a week and is covered in dead road kill bugs. thank god for night shots. i think im going to walk around campus a little tomorrow. i was able to take around 250 pics before my battery died, id like to get another battery, especially since i bought a 4 gig "SanDisk Ultra II"....i guess its better than the regular ones, however that is. i think it reads faster and is more efficient which overall helps your battery last a little longer. anyway, when i put it in my camera, i noticed i should get around 1300 pics before it is full!!!!!

the problem with a night mode on the camera is that it uses a really slow shutter speed and if you move it even a little bit it will blur the picture, so maybe look into a tripod for taking night shots?
P.S. whats the satus of the flame work youv been working on for me?

I hear you on the memory stick, I bought the official 2gig duo pro for mine and I'd be hard pressed to fill that thing up before the battery dies. Mine's the DSC-T5, never tried playing around with any of the settings in it, kind of tempted to take it off auto mode and try fiddling with it now. I think shrpshtr's definitely on to something there, if you're really getting into this a tripod sounds like a great idea.
