Dont they make CBs that have th controls on the mic, and a hide-away controller that mounts under the dash somewhere. That would be cool compared to the traditional CB deck. My father had a CB in his 87 toyota 4x4 pick up, i feel like i remeber he got rid of his radio to use it. How do new CBs hook up using the trucks speakers? Or do you use seperate speakers for the CB?

I added an external speaker so i can hear it better over my engine and other noise. And i never heard of a CB hooking up to the trucks stero speakers?!

Neither have I. Most just use the internal speaker on the CB, or do like you did and add an external. I guess it would be possible, though, but an awful lot of work and would cost you the use of your radio.

Thanks for the replies and the Pics guys. Problem is... I do use my cup holders and the cubby holes. So still searching for a decent place to mount my CB. First year since I
started deer huntin' that I haven't had a CB. It's a shame there isn't a decent place. But I do like the cup holders and the cubby holes lol.
PS. The thread on turning the Seatbelt ding off was great news. Driving from my mailbox to the house (300ft) isn't a bother now. Thanks for that post.

Does anyone make a CB that's thin, maybe an inch or less tall? If so, you could mount it in your glovebox in the pocket for the user manual. I mounted a Jacob's Nitrous Mastermind there is my 01 Dakota R/T, fit perfectly.
