For you guys that have CBs mounted in ur Daks. I need a couple ideas on where to Mount one.
I have an 05 Dakota 4.7 Mag 4 door. Any ideas and or Pics would be great.

Chris (addidasCJ) mounted his on his cup holder in the front and a mic holder on his dash board with 2 screws each. He doesn't use his cup holders so it didn't efect him. I hve a portable CB so I just put mine in front of my front cup holders on the floor under the center seat. If you have the center console, putting it inside the center console might be a fun idea.

 

There'snot be much room in the Dak for extras. I wouldn't want to cut holes or mount under dash; it would be a knee buster. I dono? If I where to mount one I would buy one of those micro units and toss my old big butt Midlands. Antenna? I check into the new active mini whips and mount to my topper somewhere.

Like jimbo said, i put mine in the cup holder area. I never use them so they were free space. Here is a picture.




Also i got a Cobra 19 Ultra III one of the smallest units on the market... I was looking into the ones that are a hide-a-way, were the unit hides under the dash and everything is controlled by the mic, but i went aginst it because if the mic breaks your buying a new CB basically.

Teva, i almost put mine there... i just didnt want to move my Siruis and it would have made it harder to reach the 4x4 switch
