Does that sound like a good idea? I've looked online but I havn't read about anyone doing that with manual trans. Everyone I've read is with auto tranny. Are the gear ratios not ideal?
ummm.... I think you will find yourself wishing you wouldve got an auto.. I know i would. I get tired of shifting my 88.. you could probably cheat and go from like 1st-3-4 depending on what speed you're going.
Some of us prefer to select our own gears every moment of every mile (about 700 per week). IMO if you can't get a V8, definately go with the highest rearend ratio available. The 3.92 is only available with 4WD I believe?
They probably won't sell you a 3.92 with a manual transmission. At least they wouldn't when I bought at the end of the '06 model year. If you want 3.92s and a manual tranny, you'll have to do it yourself unless those rules have changed.
