Default Factory flares available.

All,
I've been talking to a parts guy at Dodge and he said Dodge has finally released the 08' parts and that the factory TRX flares are available as a full 6 piece kit for $349. I think the F/R arch parts would bolt up, but the front small bumper pieces would need modification to work (if even usable). I didn't get a part number from him but just wanted to get the word out.

Cool, thanks...

Looks like it does away with the little crappy 'mud flap' on the front tire...I remember someone took it off to put a bigger tire on the truck (don't remeber who though).

Wonder what it would cost to put the 08 front end on an 05 and then add the fender flares.

The paint workwould be thebig cost item
The tin work is not that much. Hood & fenders are not that much. Grill bumper cover flairs.
I bet the whole project would be around 1,200

Well, you'd need new fenders, lights, grille, hood, bumper, and prolly the reinforcements behind to bolt the bumper on, correctly...

So, prolly a lot more than you are planning.

wait a few months when someone totals it from the rear, and then just buy the front clip. we already know they can be made to work on a 05 frame. Just look at the last picture... its a 05 with a 08 front clip

Aren't there some bushwacker fender flares for our truck?...Wouldn't that be easier?...I know I've seen them listed I just haven't seen a Dakota with them on or even a pic of it.
